This third volume — a compilation of the two dossiers published in the fifth and sixth issues of the journal SOLDAT — is the entirely redrawn, revised, amended and very substantially enlarged new edition — more than fifty per cent of new figures appear in it — of the work published several years ago by the authors. This volume covers the final mounted units of the Guard, the formations attached to it, the horse artillery, the artillery and supply trains, the medical service, the Guard's general staff, as well as the Imperial Household, the Emperor himself, and the early uniforms of the Royal Guard.
