After an initial attempt that went largely unnoticed, Marcel Bloch was able to establish himself as an aviation industrialist thanks to the success of a second generation of aircraft — the MB 81, MB 120 and MB 200. He then set his teams a sweeping challenge, giving rise to a third generation that included the MB 130, MB 131, MB 210 and MB 220 models, which made him one of the greatest French aircraft manufacturers of the first half of the 1930s.

Four years after his return to aviation, Potez, Breguet, Morane, Loire, Hanriot… most of the other aircraft manufacturers were building Marcel Bloch aircraft.

Discover how he managed to transform crushing technical failures into resounding successes. How failed prototypes became some of the finest French aircraft. Yet nationalisations and technical controversies, compounded by the rise of antisemitic sentiment, hampered his extraordinary development.

This second part highlights the successes and charts the first difficulties of Marcel Bloch and his aircraft.
