Whether by refusing to wear the yellow star, helping other women in prison or in the camps, writing leaflets, aiding Jews, or taking part in the conspiracy that led to the July 20, 1944 assassination attempt against Hitler, they were full-fledged actors in a movement whose history has too often retained only male names.
