The 2nd Armoured Division - "Leclerc"
It was around fighters of the Free French from the earliest days that Leclerc would build the 2nd armoured division, with one objective: to make it the instrument capable of fulfilling the oath sworn at Koufra on 2 March 1941, "to lay down arms only when our colours, our beautiful colours, fly over the cathedral of Strasbourg".

The "Leclerc" division owes the place it holds in collective memory to its two emblematic victories: Paris and Strasbourg, the fruits of the bonds uniting its commanding officer and de Gaulle, whose intervention allowed the 2nd DB to be integrated into an American army and to be in the right place at the right time.
The work, produced in collaboration with the Musée du général Leclerc de Hauteclocque et de la Libération de Paris – Musée Jean Moulin, as well as the veterans of the division, brings together an iconography that is very often previously unpublished, illustrating the feats of arms of the 2nd DB and allowing the reader to relive its commitment to the liberation of France and the campaign in Germany.
