The first prototype made its inaugural flight in October 1956, but the first pre-production aircraft were not delivered until 1959 following a lengthy modification period. In France, the aircraft operated from the carriers Clémenceau, Foch and Arromanches, and from shore bases for training. They were deployed on numerous reconnaissance missions over Lebanon in the 1980s, in the Persian Gulf during Operation Salamandre, and over Kosovo in 1999 as part of NATO operations. The last aircraft was withdrawn from service in 2000 with the decommissioning of the Foch. 68 pages – 200 photos
