It is through 114 uniformed mannequins from the collections of the Musée de la Légion Étrangère, and in particular those of the Musée de l'Uniforme Légionnaire in Puyloubier, together with 112 exceptional and rare collection pieces presented here for the first time, that we invite you to follow the history and evolution of Foreign Legion uniforms from its founding in 1831 through to 1962.

A way of also discovering, through the légionnaire's uniforms, the great historical moments of this branch of arms that never ceases, through the white kepi and the green beret, to set itself apart with a character entirely its own. This limited print run is therefore a genuine invitation to travel back in time.

The author, Raymond Guyader, a passionate student of the history of the Foreign Legion, founder of the Musée de l'Uniforme Légionnaire, holds the honorary rank of first-class légionnaire. He has dedicated many years to the study of Foreign Legion uniforms, through numerous articles on the subject and several specialist books.
