The 1937 Chambray shirt by Pike Brothers is modelled on a work shirt from the late 1930s.
 
Like the original, it is extremely comfortable thanks to its generous cut. It is distinguished by an original detail: the "smoker's pocket". In the first half of the 20th century, smoking was commonplace and work clothing was generally adapted to make life easier for smokers. The smoker's pocket is cut so that a soft pack of cigarettes fits inside it, allowing the wearer to easily retrieve a cigarette without having to take out the whole pack. The shirt also features a pen pocket.
 
This shirt is suitable for those engaged in US Navy or civilian 1930s/40s re-enactment.
