It describes chronologically the evolution of the uniforms, equipment and weapons of the American soldier during the second part of the Vietnam War, from 1968 to 1975. All uniforms and equipment are period pieces; only a few replica weapons were used. With the aim of presenting characteristic silhouettes at a given moment in the campaign, an extensive research effort was undertaken to ensure consistency between units, dates and geographical situations. Deliberately, and unlike other works, not all the figures presented are combatants, in order to accurately reflect the typology of the US soldier. Indeed, it should be recalled that 85% of the personnel were advisors and support troops.
