The latter introduced numerous innovations to the world of scale modelling, beginning with the wide distribution of additional decal sheets, the first large-scale military motorcycles, and the first 1/72 scale kits of European armoured vehicles. ESCI also distinguished itself as a pioneer by offering, among other things, multiple variants of the same kit with different parts or markings, as well as the first — and sometimes unique — cockpit kits for large combat aircraft.
