Virtually every item of uniform is presented in the finest detail, including the various models of jump smock (Knochensack), and the equipment used by the Luftwaffe from the mid-1930s to the capitulation of the Reich.

The reader will also find insignia specific to the Fallschirmjäger and numerous previously unpublished accounts. In short, this work provides an in-depth account of the operations of the "Green Devils", from the attack on Norway to the final days of the Third Reich, including the assault on the Belgian fortress of Eben-Emael. The campaigns in Holland, Crete, North Africa, Russia, Italy, Normandy and the Ardennes are all covered in this trilogy.

With the help of collectors and museums from around the world, the author and the German publisher embarked on an unprecedented collaboration. The three volumes total more than 1,000 pages in colour with thousands of photographs of Fallschirmjäger collection items, including pieces never previously revealed or studied.
