In this work, the author takes us through some exceptional adventures of saboteurs — famous or unknown — selected from among the 155 paratroopers sent by Fighting France to train Resistance fighters inside the country and carry out sabotage operations in preparation for the Landings. They were also tasked with slowing down production at French factories working for Germany's benefit. These saboteurs would later lead Maquis fighters into combat when the time came, harassing the Germans in retreat. Trained by the secret services in British schools and arriving in France on a moonlit night, they left their mark on history, sometimes bringing with them long-awaited weapons but above all the hope of imminent liberation. Particularly hunted by the occupier, they paid a very heavy price so that France might recover its full freedom.
