Faithful reproduction of the French Army model 1949 bush hat. This hat (used during the Indochina and Algeria wars) traces its origins to the British jungle hat.

Stamps: "Chapeau de Paris, Crépy-en-Valois" "Armée 4-1953 SFH-3"

Its construction is described in the BO of 10 January 1949. The crown is made up of four panels assembled with semi-circular stitching providing a degree of rigidity. The top and brim of the hat are covered with a cotton twill band. The crown features 4 ventilation eyelets and a press stud on the right side. The chin strap is made of cotton twill.

100% satin cotton — the satin finish disappears after the first wash.
