This "V1 weapon of despair" is in a different league from its predecessor, which was nonetheless praised in its time by the specialist press. To state that it contains 60 new plans, 514 new photographs and 20% more text only defines in a cold and imprecise manner the sheer scale of the enrichment brought. Every chapter without exception has been reworked and expanded, with a particular contribution to those devoted to the research, development, engineering and deployment of the weapon.

A considerably more thorough study of underground storage facilities has been complemented by a sharper examination of the 155th Flak Regiment, its organisational chart, its uniforms, and even its casualties. Counter-measures are not overlooked, from the most realistic to the most uncertain, casting a sometimes very stark light on certain received ideas, popular myths, and other misconceptions. Finally, the comprehensive list of sites has been entirely revised and corrected to reflect the reality of changes on the ground.
