As with any study of medieval costume, certain aspects of the 2008 work are now outdated, while other avenues need to be signalled. This new edition, made necessary by demand for the book, is an opportunity for revisions and certain updates taking into account the latest discoveries, advances and hypotheses regarding dress at the end of the Middle Ages.

A rebalancing with new elements relating to the 14th century will also be found here. Part of the iconography has been revisited in order to reflect the current state of knowledge and to make this new edition an original work in its own right. Like its first edition, the revised and corrected edition of the Medieval Costume from 1320 to 1480 aims to be accessible to all — specialists or enthusiasts of medieval history, re-enactors in search of information, and lovers of costume history in general.
