In June 2005 in Afghanistan, Navy SEAL Marcus Luttrell is the sole survivor of an ambush in which his comrades fall. Repatriated to the United States for medical treatment, throughout his long and painful rehabilitation he is driven by a single idea: to rejoin Team 5 and return to combat as soon as possible. Finally, in October 2006, a few months after resuming training, Marcus Luttrell is deployed to Iraq, to Ramadi. After the war in the Afghan mountains, Marcus Luttrell and his Team 5 comrades must now fight in the narrow alleyways of a city where insurgents continue to reign by terror. Beset by the moral and physical exhaustion resulting from his wounds in Afghanistan, and once again witnessing the death of comrades falling at his side, Marcus Luttrell thought he had already lived through a nightmare in Afghanistan. He will now experience the hell of urban warfare in Iraq.
