This work, without equivalent in the French language, presents all German military decorations instituted between 1935 and 1945, in the form of detailed reference sheets accompanied by high-quality photographs, by Jörg-M. Hormann, followed by the civil decorations (including those of the RAD and the Westwall, among others) presented by Volker A. Behr.

Military decorations:

1931–1935: mountain guide badge, sports badge, Luftwaffe badges (Flugzeugführer, Beobachter), Honour Cross of the World War 1914–1918.

1936–1937: Wehrmacht long service decoration, rescue medal, Fallschirmschützen-Abzeichen of the Luftwaffe and the Heer.

1938–1939: SS long service medals, commemorative medals of 13 March 1938 and 1 October 1938, Spanish Civil War decorations, commemorative medal for the return of the Memel Territory, etc. 1939: Iron Cross, Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross, Wound Badge, U-Boat War Badge, War Merit Cross, Infantry Assault Badge, Panzer Badge.

1940: Ehrenpokal, General Assault Badge, Narwikschild, War Merit Medal, etc.

1941: Flak badges, German Cross in Gold, etc.

1942: tank destruction badge, Luftwaffe ground combat badge, Eastern Front Medal, Cholmschild, Krimschild, sleeve band "Kreta", etc.

1943: sleeve band "Afrika", Demjanskschild, Kubanschild, etc.

1944: Heer sniper badge, sleeve band "Metz", Warschauschild, Wound Badge of 20 July 1944, etc.

1945: sleeve band "Kurland", aircraft destruction badge… Each entry is arranged by the date on which the decoration was instituted. In the second section on civil decorations, we find first those created under the Weimar Republic, followed by the Olympic Games medals, fire service medals, Luftschutz medals, Mother's Cross, police medals, Red Cross medals, etc.

This 336-page full-colour album, translated and adapted from the German, will be the indispensable tool and precise reference for every collector or enthusiast of Second World War history.
