This catalogue presents a series of areas of archaeological expertise post-excavation, each one a link in the chain of inquiry into our past. The multidisciplinary approach at its core is illustrated by the remains of ancient Boutae and its surroundings, tracing in outline the daily life of Haute-Savoie between the 1st century BCE and the 5th century CE. Sometimes of unexpected richness, these remains come from the public monuments, dwellings and necropolises discovered since the 19th century, in the course of works that have gradually shaped the current urban fabric.
This work was produced in co-production between the Département de la Haute-Savoie and the Musée-Château d'Annecy.
