The Red Wing 8849 Classic Moc Toe boot in Black Prairie is a classic moccasin-style shoe made in Red Wing, Minnesota. The Red Wing 6-inch Moc Toe boot was originally designed for hunters and farmers in the early 1950s.

The Red Wing Moc Toe was built to withstand hard work in tough weather conditions. The Red Wing "Moc Toe" name derives from the word "Moccasin", the traditional Algonquian word for the U-shaped toe form. The Red Wing 8849 is offered in a "Black Prairie" leather with a smooth, polished finish.

The padded Traction Tred white crepe sole of the Red Wing 8849 provides maximum grip and exceptional comfort. The Red Wing 8849 has contrasting white stitching. The Red Wing 8849 comes with round black taslan laces, but you can also try yellow/brown laces.
