The U.S. Navy CPO Shirt – a classic among outdoor shirts.

Life at sea has always been hard. Sailors' clothing, too, had to adapt to the harshest weather. Over the years, specific shapes and materials became established in the navy. After the war, these highly popular shirts continued to be produced for the civilian market. They underwent numerous modifications and were made in all kinds of fabrics.

Originally, CPO shirts had no side pockets. They were added in many civilian productions, turning the shirt into an overshirt or lightweight jacket. This 1967 CPO version features these side pockets. It is made from raw selvedge denim and will soften with wear, developing a beautiful patina over time.
