He, Fast Eagle 107, is the powerful F-14 Tomcat whose legendary air combat in the Gulf of Sidra inspired the film Top Gun. His problem: he has temperamental engines that have already caused the deaths of several pilots.

She is Kara — radiant and daring, determined to become a combat fighter pilot. Her problem: she is a woman. Never losing her sense of humour, this brilliant aviator shatters one by one the prejudices of the military aviation world towards her gender.

Until she and her female comrades finally earn the right to fly that famous F-14.
