80 years after the June 1944 landings, Olivier Dauger, official painter of air and space, presents a richly illustrated work on the air component of the greatest combined air and sea operation of the Second World War.

This book covers the air component of the greatest combined air and sea operation of the Second World War. Around sixty colour illustrations depicting all the aircraft of various types and roles that took part in the Normandy campaign (June–July 1944), from both the Allied side (U.S., British and French) and the German side. The types of missions and their impact on the fighting are detailed: observation, various bombing raids, fighter operations, strafing, airborne operations, gliders, maritime defence, destruction of communication hubs, V-1 launch ramps, etc.

Around sixty colour illustrations show all the types of aircraft that took part in the Normandy campaign (June–July 1944).
