For more than two years, the Korean War has been confronting America with the communist threat; the world stands on the brink of nuclear conflict… In the skies over Korea, the Chinese air force, equipped with the formidable Soviet MiG-15s, is outclassing American jets above "Mig Alley," where fierce aerial combat rages. Meanwhile, in Florida, Angela remotely pilots target drones used to train young recruits; for his part, Rob has enlisted as an F9F-5 Panther pilot aboard the USS Oriskany, an aircraft carrier patrolling the China Sea; his new "sensitive" mission is to locate and destroy the wreck of the P2V-2 Neptune spy plane "Cape Cod," which has just been shot down by a MiG in enemy territory.
