This trouser has its roots in the working world of the 19th century. Pike Brothers recreated it based on an old photograph from the 1890s. The photo, taken in an old brewery, shows a warehouseman leaning against a beer barrel. Craftsmen, like brewery workers, often had to carry, tow or hoist heavy loads, and workwear had very specific criteria to meet. On one hand, freedom of movement could not be restricted; on the other, garments had to be robust enough to withstand the rigours of daily life.

All of this is embodied in the 1905 Hauler Pant. The cut is very wide and the waistband sits very high. The wearer benefits from a great freedom of movement. The waistband features buttons for attaching braces.

This trouser is made from a high-quality selvedge herringbone denim. It is pre-washed and will not shrink in the wash. Length 34.
