1966 Jungle Shirt Tiger Stripe - Pike Brothers
The legendary US Tiger Stripe shirt in Silver Pattern camouflage.
Many variants of the Tiger Stripe camouflage were developed during the 1960s. The Silver Tiger Stripe camouflage was developed around the mid-1960s and was widely used in South-East Asia during the Vietnam conflict. It was one of the most common camouflage patterns of the era.
The name "silver" comes from the silvery patina that original examples developed over time through wear and repeated washing.
For the shirt pattern, Pike Brothers used an original Asian-made shirt. Asian-made garments were finer than American-made ones. The shirt is pre-washed to give it a worn, aged appearance.
