The story of a branch of the Resistance in France and the collapse of the Prosper network, a British resistance network.

The Sacrificed Resistance in France, 1943 — the end justifies all means

The content of this work is part of the history of a very important branch of the resistance in France against the German occupation from 1940 to 1944, namely that conducted by the numerous networks of the British Special Operations Executive, the SOE, on the orders of Winston Churchill himself. In this context, particular attention is drawn to the dramatic collapse in 1943 of the most important British resistance network in France, Prosper, composed of English and French resistance fighters.

The aim here, following the many studies already carried out on the subject, is to affirm once again through new insights that the network was deliberately sacrificed on orders. The underlying reasons are explained and are rooted in the imperative necessity that the Germans should not know the date of the Allied landings on the coast of Normandy.
