In April 1942, a few months after the formidable attack by the Japanese Imperial Naval Air Force on Pearl Harbor, Japanese pilots are still euphoric. At Lae, New Guinea, Daisuke and Kenji carry out their missions alongside aviation aces.

But times are hard as American aviation strengthens and bombards Japanese positions every day.

Their aircraft is the Mitsubishi A6M, also known as the "Zero" (Rei Sen). A formidable Japanese fighter-bomber whose silhouette is as iconic as that of the American Corsairs.
