Imposing their famous "supple, feline and manoeuvring" style, the paras — whether belonging to the Army, the Special Services, or the Air Force — are indeed the principal actors of this conflict, developing within it a particular esprit de corps that combines solidarity, availability, selflessness, boldness, pride, and a taste for risk and effort.
