The author, Didier Jean, holder of a DEA in geopolitics, knew General Jeannou Lacaze through his family life. He has written a biography of the general who served as Chief of the Defence Staff from February 1981 to July 1985. He reconstructs here the history of his military life from 1955 to 1970, and in particular, drawing on numerous testimonies and documents, his period in command of the 2e REP.
