A new album dedicated to the journey of an ethnic German from Romania, born in Kronstadt in the Carpathians, who enlisted in the Waffen-SS and rose to officer rank. He fights in Normandy. At last, a book presenting one of those Volksdeutsche (German minorities from Central Europe, primarily) who joined the Waffen-SS. We follow this young ethnic German from Romania through his path, beginning with the Verfügungstruppe, then through several officer schools and his transfer to the newly formed Hohenstaufen division, including training — giving the reader a broader view of how this division was formed. His first engagements in Galicia, then Normandy up to Hill 112, where our officer is seriously wounded and his military career comes to an end. The iconography in this work is largely unpublished.
