Alpha Industries is an American military clothing manufacturer founded in 1959 in Knoxville, Tennessee. From its inception, the company acted as a subcontractor for Dobbs Industries, which produced MA-1 bombers for the US Air Force. That same year, Alpha Industries signed its first contract with the US Department of Defense to produce, among other items, the N-3B parka. In 1963, Alpha Industries signed a new contract and began producing MA-1 flight jackets and the N-2B parka directly for the US Air Force.

The company then won the tender for the production of M-65 combat jackets, becoming the official supplier for 25 years. It went on to produce numerous other military garments through the early 2000s. Today, the company markets military jackets in its Heritage line alongside a wide range of clothing for the civilian market.
