From the beaches of Normandy to the islands of the Pacific, the N1 jacket was worn across theaters of war and, over time, became the most popular garment in the U.S. armed forces. The 1943 N1 “Jungle Cloth” jacket draws on classic World War II U.S. Navy jackets.
The N1 jacket combines a tightly woven “Jungle Cloth” outer fabric with a woven wool lining, giving it excellent durability and natural resistance to wind and moisture, making it a sturdy jacket for everyday wear.
Originally derived from the traditional American corduroy known as “Bedford Cord,” “Jungle Cloth” became a staple of the U.S. Navy uniform in the 1940s.
Like the original, our 1943 N-1 jacket has the following features:

- Woven wool lining, 500 g/m², 100% wool
- Vintage Talon zipper
- Authentic “Spec.” label
- Circular-knit inner cuffs
