This type of button-placket T-shirt has always been worn as a base layer in direct contact with the skin. Shirts were most often worn over a long-sleeved or short-sleeved version of this T-shirt. That is where the origins of our 1927 Henley Shirt lie.

It is finer than our 1954 Utility Shirt and has not been brushed on the inside. That is why it is lighter and cooler to wear. It is perfect under a shirt, or in summer as a single layer.

The genuine coconut buttons and the slightly curved hem complete the picture.
