Dark Navy Blue Leather Flight Crew Pilot Jacket JET FRENCH ATLAS Dark Navy - French Air Force

In dark navy or black leather, the JET FRANCH ATLAS pilot jacket draws direct inspiration from the celebrated jacket worn since the 1970s by personnel and pilots of the French Air Force. This official model created by Redskins for the Armée de l'Air et de l'Espace is the worthy descendant of the famous jackets known under the designation PN (Personnel Naviguant), the first examples of which were called K6 as they were manufactured in the town of Cassis.

This model evolved over the decades, featuring, for example, a round, oval or rectangular pocket on the left arm at various times. Despite these evolutions, it is recognisable at a glance thanks to this shoulder pocket and also the leather flap, for displaying one's rank, positioned over the chest. 

This new model, officially bearing the logo of the Armée de l'Air et de l'Espace, retains all the characteristics of its predecessor. Its cut is straight. A removable fur collar is attached with buttons to the classic shirt-style leather collar.

The central closure is a single zip. On the outside it has 2 press-stud pockets bearing the French Air Force stork insignia. The iconic shoulder pocket is oval-shaped. It closes with a zip and has 4 pen slots. On the inside, 2 zipped pockets complete the ensemble.

2 press-stud tabs under the lining are used for waist adjustment (3 positions). Knitted wrist bands are present on the inside at the end of the sleeves.

The interior of the jacket features a screen print paying tribute to the Aviatrices and Aviateurs who committed themselves to the service of France. This collector's piece celebrates the courage of those who protect us beyond our borders from the skies and space. "Protéger - Dissuader - Intervenir" — such is their motto.

On the right sleeve is sewn the official leather patch of the Armée de l'Air et de l'Espace. On the rank pocket (chest), the metallic stork insignia of the French Air Force is affixed along with the French cockade (metal).
