The 1923 Buccanoy Shirt: a must for formal occasions. The historical model of the 1923 Buccanoy shirts has its origins in the 1920s. Men's fashion had favoured straight-collar shirts since the mid-19th century. An additional detachable collar — known as a "parachute collar" — could be buttoned onto it. This type of shirt was very popular until it was gradually replaced by fold-down collar shirts in the 1940s.

Just as on the original, it is possible to button a collar onto the Buccanoy shirts.
