Haul, tow, pull, hoist: words that evoke the origins of the 1905 Hauler Pant.

This trouser has its roots in the working world of the 19th century. Pike Brothers recreated it based on an old photograph from the 1890s. The photo, taken in an old brewery, shows a warehouseman leaning against a beer barrel. Craftsmen, like brewery workers, often had to carry, haul or hoist heavy loads, and workwear had very specific requirements to meet. On one hand, freedom of movement could not be restricted; on the other, garments had to be robust enough to withstand a demanding daily routine.
