1943 CPO Shirt Otsego Red Flannel Shirt - Pike Brothers
The U.S. Navy CPO Shirt – a classic among outdoor shirts.
Life at sea has always been tough. Sailors' clothing, too, had to adapt to the harshest weather conditions. Over the years, specific cuts and materials established themselves in the navy. The 1943 CPO Shirt is one of those garments that appeared in the U.S. Navy. The cut and fabric, developed in the 1930s, have only been slightly modified over the years.
For this version, an authentic 1940s cut was selected. It features two large chest pockets and offers a great freedom of movement.
It was originally made from heavy wool. For this version, lighter yet warm, Pike Brothers chose flannel.
