The 1952 Lowkinawa Boot traces its origins to the jungles of Southeast Asia.

In the 1950s, the U.S. Army began developing footwear for hot and humid environments. The first trials took place in Okinawa, Japan, which is how the name Okinawa Boots came about.

Pike Brothers created an ankle boot with a shorter shaft and decided to name it Lowkinawa. The shoe combines rough-out leather with a very sturdy olive drab cotton canvas.

The 1952 Lowkinawa Boots are characterized by the following details:

  • canvas (100% cotton) and rough-out leather upper
  • Goodyear welt sole
  • Robust Outdoor sole
  • Available in sizes 41 to 47 - True to size
  • made in Portugal
