Truths and legends of the "Führex".

Until his death, Léon Degrelle (1906–1994), leader of the fascist movement Rex, founder of the SS Wallonia Legion, and the last European National Socialist leader, represented for the far right the icon before whom one had to be anointed, on the occasion of a "pilgrimage" to Spain where he had taken refuge in 1945.

This first major biography, without preconceptions or indulgence, paints the portrait of a man of many facets, characteristic of the "age of extremes": an Ardennes lad and prankish law student; a Catholic and convinced monarchist; a journalist and innovative press proprietor; a tribune, a "collaborator" and soldier on the Eastern Front facing the Red Army; "friend of Tinti" — or rather of Hergé — defender of Hitler and supporter of the negationist Faurisson.

The work draws on an extraordinary mass of writings: his own pamphlets, memoirs and countless interviews, not forgetting the press of his time, notably that which he launched.
