Following his promise to kill Henri Castillac, Erik, the pilot with the edelweiss, flies over the Storks' aerodrome and drops a challenge — a true aerial duel, just him and Henri Castillac, the following week. Castillac, petrified with fear, takes leave in Paris. Contrary to his habits, there are no Folies-Bergères or wild parties.
