1935. Nora Stalle, an intrepid and experienced pilot, is employed by Air Zénith on its airmail routes. The company wants to make a major publicity splash: an air raid to the Far East, and it has chosen Nora to fly the Caudron Simoun specially fitted out for this adventure. A new mechanic is assigned to her as a companion for the raid, Théo Norville — a gifted mechanic who quickly proves to have a strong personality: loud-mouthed, freethinking, with a marked fondness for the bottle… On the return leg from Berlin-Tempelhof during a routine postal flight, their aircraft is pursued by a formidable Henschel of the brand-new Luftwaffe.
