Carry, haul, pull, hoist: words that evoke the origin of the 1905 Hauler Pant.

These trousers are rooted in the working world of the 19th century. Pike Brothers recreated them on the basis of an old photograph from the 1890s. The photo, taken in an old brewery, shows a warehouseman leaning against a beer barrel. Craftsmen, as well as brewery workers, often had to carry, haul or hoist heavy loads, and workwear had very specific criteria to meet. On one hand, there was no question of restricting freedom of movement; on the other, garments had to be robust enough to withstand a demanding daily routine.
