1943 CPO Shirt pitch black - Pike Brothers
The U.S. Navy CPO Shirt – a classic among outdoor shirts.
Life at sea has always been tough. Sailors' clothing, too, had to adapt to the most demanding weather conditions. Over the years, specific cuts and materials established themselves in the navy. The 1943 CPO Shirt is one of those garments that emerged in the U.S. Navy. Both the cut and the fabric, developed in the 1930s, were only slightly modified over the years. For this version, an authentic 1940s cut was chosen.
It has two large chest pockets and offers great freedom of movement.
It was originally made from heavy wool. For this version, Pike Brothers chose 13oz selvedge denim.
The following details characterise the 1943 CPO Shirt:
- 100% cotton
- traditional 1940s cut
- snap buttons
- made in Portugal
