The 1947 Trapper Boots have their origins in the outdoor adventure and American hunting tradition.

Outdoor activities boomed in the USA after the war. As a result, manufacturers of innovative clothing and equipment quickly responded to their customers' needs. 

These ankle boots are a prime example. They are a compromise between mountain boots combined with a crepe sole, silent and used for deer hunting.

The sole uses a "Norwegian welt" construction. This technique is often used for mountain boots as it increases the shoe's resistance and water tightness. The tongue is sewn and attached to the boot to prevent water penetration.

The natural rubber crepe sole is undyed and provides a high level of walking comfort.
