Wabash printed fabrics were popularized by the American manufacturer J.L. Stifel and Sons (1835–1956) in the early 20th century. This pattern became a staple and defining feature of American workwear from the 1920s onward.

The work shirt, with underarm ventilation holes, was designed by the American brand Powr-House in the 1940s–1950s. The ventilation allows the wearer to feel drier.

This shirt is therefore typical of those years, for a pure retro look.
