877 Moc Toe Oro Legacy - Red Wing Shoes

The Red Wing 877 Classic Moc Toe boot in Oro-Legacy is a classic moccasin-style shoe made in Red Wing, Minnesota.

The Red Wing 877 is the most iconic Red Wing boot available. The Red Wing 877 was brought to market by Red Wing Shoes in the fall of 1952. The Red Wing 877 8-inch boot was designed as a hunting boot. The Red Wing 877 was quickly nicknamed "Irish Setter" due to its color resemblance to the coat of the pointing dog of the same name, which was meant to assist hunters in the field.

In 2013, Red Wing introduced a new leather for the 877: the Oro-Legacy leather, as a tribute to the history of the 877 and 875 boots, based on designs drawn from the Red Wing archives. The Oro-Legacy leather is based on the leather used in the legendary Red Wing Irish Setter boots of the 1970s. Because no pigment is added during the Red Wing leather finishing process, the natural character of the leather is brought to the fore. Furthermore, Red Wing Oro-Legacy leather develops a beautiful patina over time.  

The signature white Cushion Crepe sole with Traction Tred provides maximum grip and exceptional comfort. The Red Wing 877 boot comes with the original round yellow/brown taslan laces.
