For over a century, Tarrerias-Bonjean (TB) has upheld the tradition and craftsmanship of fine cutlery in Thiers, France. The cutlery house is an official knife supplier to the French Army.

At Tarrerias-Bonjean, the commitment to quality, technical excellence and robustness reflects a genuine passion for products that accompany military personnel on their defence missions.

Supplier of Excellence to the French Army

The collaboration between Tarrerias-Bonjean and the French Army began in 1995, with the development of tools specifically designed for military use. The first knife to meet these requirements was the legendary Bivouac®. This field knife was an integral part of soldiers' equipment from 1996 until 2001, becoming a true icon. Nearly 30 years after its creation, the Bivouac® remains an essential.

The Baroudeur® took over, accompanying soldiers for 16 years until 2017.

In 2017, Tarrerias-Bonjean, in partnership with military expert Philippe PEROTTI, launched the C.A.C® knife (Combat Assistance Campagne). Selected by the Ministry of Defence, this folding knife was destined to become the new field knife of the French armed forces.
