The Tonton et Fils brand was founded in 2016 by Pierre-Yves Oriol. A passionate clothing enthusiast, he collects vintage garments from the military and workwear worlds. French and American brands are his preferred hunting ground (Filson, Levi's, Redwing, Woolrich, Lee, Schott…). He also rides motorcycles and wears his own collection. 

The idea came to him to create a brand in his own image, offering French-made workwear garments. It would be called Tonton et Fils, in homage to an old bistrot he loved to visit on his motorcycle runs.

The inspiration for his pieces comes from his own collection. He reinterprets trousers, waistcoats and shirts. Surrounding himself with French garment makers, craftsmen and manufacturers, he launched his first collection in 2016.
